World Series

Anybody watching it? I've caught bits and pieces of all 3 games and the Dodgers are taking it to the Yankees. They're now one win away from a sweep.

Growing up, I was a huge Dodgers fan. My dad still is.

MLB lost me with the strike in the 90s.

But, had I realized they were playing last night, I probably would've watched some.

The Dodgers are beating the Yankees at their own game: spending more money than anybody else to buy a championship. These are the 2nd and 3rd teams in MLB in salary. I stopped watching MLB a few years ago because the "salary cap" is a joke. Small market teams can't compete. When fans get tired of watching one of the richest 3 or 4 teams win the WS every year, MLB will make a fair salary cap. Until then get used to Dodgers vs. Yankees.

It's not about salary, etc. Last year the Yankees signed Judge with a huge deal. What place did they come in? Last. It's about the teams and being able to play. You still have to have a team that plays together, and doesn't make many mistakes to have a winning team.

I'm struggling to watch it this year. The World Series is usually the only sports I go out of my way to watch, but I just can't stand either team. I've made not into the 3rd or 4th inning of each game and decided I'd rather go to bed than watch anymore. Hopefully, the Dodgers win it tonight. I head to LBL for the weekend and won't have a tv.
