For some that wonder what all the fuss is over this expensive TSS shot, I thought I'd share a few pics....
While I don't encourage long shots, and knowing I'll get flamed for this, I can assure you I know exactly what my effective range is with any gun I carry. The guys that hunt with me know that I spend lots of time and money shooting paper and although I kno punching paper is different than hunting situations, I kno what's a good shot and what's not when in the woods..
Anyhow here's some 20ga TSS devastation from 54 yards.... Bird went down and then flipped on his back and it was over, and I'm sure you can see why..

It is truly amazing how far we've come in more effective turkey loads over the past few years.

My 20 ga turkey gun is now more "effective" in all respects than the 12 ga I've killed most of my turkeys with over the past 30-plus years.
And mine isn't even as effective as yours! :mrgreen: I'm still just using the Federal Heavyweights loaded with #7's in my 20 ga, which basically trumps the performance of most any 12 ga. loaded with "lead" turkey loads.

Sadly, it hasn't been all good.
IMO, too many turkey hunters are neglecting to practice and learn better shooting (& hunting) SKILLS, while neglecting to realize that with more "rifle-like" patterns AND when shooting at longer ranges, the importance of having the poi & poa perfectly aligned becomes even more critical (almost necessitating a need for optical sights).
 
No doubt bro. I'm never going back to anything other then TSS in the 20 after what I saw it do this year

From what I've researched, the answer is 'yes'.... but that takes all the fun out of getting them in your face before you shoot.
 
For the REM 20 GA, I'd be looking for .565 - .575 constriction. The Remington super full at .572 is a solid choice for TSS for $25 or so. If you want to step it up a notch, go with an Indian Creek or Jebs in the .565 - .572 range. One of the great things about TSS is you don't have to own a high dollar choke to make it perform. The TSS shot string stays intact a lot like the Win Longbeard shells, thus they don't have to be choked like lead and HTL. Good luck with your choice.

Same setup I'm using. I killed one at 45 last week with mine and although I didn't make near as good a shot as you did the result was the same. A stone cold dead bird on the ground.

I have a TruGlo in .565
I guess I will start with it
