20ga and TSS #9s

Money well spent and a fun hobby to boot, all the time benefiting one of your favorite pasttimes, turkey hunting. PM me if you have any questions or need any additional help. I'll be glad to help, although I doubt you'll need much.

Yea I don't know. That's just what Hal told me was his best in 12 guage. I may see if my wife wants to go to a 20 and I'll load her and my 7 yr old some for the 20.

Met some younger "pro staff" trendy types yesterday up on the mountain. They came all the way from Pikeville to hunt the Cherokee. They were fully equipped with all the latest and greatness, including fully tricked out 20 gauge autoloaders. Real cocky sob's. Had the nerve to tell me that my "boat paddle" Ulti-mag was way oldschool and outdated. Proceeded to tell them how proud I was to be "old school" and that 20 gauge shotguns were for women and children. Not another word was said as I continued walking down the road to my truck.

What exactly is your point here??

Seems the latest trend within the "cool" crowd these days, is this switch to 20 gauges. It is my opinion as well as those in my turkey hunting circle, that 20 gauges are for women and children. :D Funny to see how fast these same types switch back to toting a 12 gauge once they miss one at 40yrds. Handloading shells that allow for one to unethically shoot at a gobbler 50+ yards shows just how low the skill level of todays hunters has sunk to. This is only my opinion and is nothing personal. I'm out boys. 4:30 comes early. I got a 6:30 appointment with a sure 'nuff Tn swamp gobbler. :D

Lol I can "unethicaly" shoot a gobbler at 50 with my 410.

I haven't tried a 20 yet or my 410 but I have confidence in them, I'm to hung up on my 12 gauge, but it's one of those "fancy autoloaders"

HAHAHAH Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

I am totally lost in cowman's logic here. My 20 will out pattern my 12 at this point and is 3lb lighter. Since when did the 12 gauge become the gold standard as to what a "man" is suppose to tote in the turkey woods. so in order to be a real hunter and a real man i must tote a single shot 12 gauge passed down from my grandpa?

Nothing personal, but why are people with such "high" skill levels still hunting after 5 weeks of hunting every day?
My advice is don't judge ones skill level by the gun he totes!!!

That's awesome!

Reminds me of funny story. My wifes brother was pretty good at baseball. Played in college. Several tournaments in the past. We used to go watch them a lot before kids. Anyway showed up and they were playing a team from ohio and they had on shorts. Looked ridiculous. Everybody was laughing at them. After about the fifth home run they hit no one was laughing anymore. lol

Don't feed the troll, haha funny though. I still use a 12 gauge 3-1/2 inch, but only because I haven't bought a 20 yet.
