2022 shed thread

I was driving home this afternoon about 45 minutes before dark and saw one field full of does and fawns (20 or so) and then another field about 300 yards away had does fawns and 5 bucks still holding both sides. The two large 8 points looked like 2 to 3 yr olds. Northern Cheatham County

I walked all day yesterday and only found a small 6pt matching set. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks before trying again

Found this dead head today while shed hunting behind my house. I had just closed on this property in Nov and was walking and putting posted signs up the day after ky rifle opened and he wasn't there then. So figure he was shot during rifle or mz and not found. All the meat was gone but still had a faint stink to him.

Far as sheds go I'm seeing some with just one side gone and several still holding. Hoping to spend some time looking next weekend.

Cool deadhead, would make a great mount for a shed or hunting blind.

Definitely a lot of bucks have not shed yet , well some anyway. It was interesting to me that I saw two bucks sparring earlier this week. Not sure but maybe the fact that they were Urban deer could be a factor. One was actually a pretty darn good buck too.

Seen 2 bucks and 4 doe in anderson county about a hour ago 1 buck shed a side other still holding both sides

Walked about 5 miles Sunday and found one fresh shed in Franklin county.

Over the past couple weeks, I've put on a bunch of miles and found some good hunting spots, but zero sheds this year.

Cams are showin all the fellas are slick topped but no luck with sheds today. Did find this dead head though.

Found one small dead head on 2/26. Our deer have usually all shed by now and we pull our cameras on this weekend every year. Pulled cameras yesterday and probably 90% are still holding antlers. Never seen them hold them this long, try again next weekend
