Buck rut range-shift/expansion beginning

DaveB,

I've seen no evidence that the number of does in a given area effects buck range expansion or shifting. I've seen just as much range shifting in populations with balanced and skewed sex ratios.

Picked up two new 3 1/2 year-olds over the last week; one on Nov. 1st and the other on Nov. 5th.

Also picked up a nice 3 1/2 year-old I haven't seen since early August. I don't know where he's been, but he went from not being seen in three months to EVERYWHERE on the property since Nov. 1st. I got him on almost every camera I have in a matter of 5 days.

I haven't gained anything new yet, as far as mature bucks go, but lost a 3.5 year old that I was getting regular pictures of a few weeks ago.
