Killed this buck in 2021. The taxidermist I wanted to finish the deer has had a lot of personal issues but was able to finally finish him. I have to say it was well worth the wait the detail is incredible.

Does anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced pedestal?

I actually bought this online and the taxidermist added the synthetic rock but I wanted something a little more formal. So I opted for this one. Some prefer the more rustic hardwood and barbed wire pedestal. I think I paid a couple hundred back in 2001. You might look online under taxidermy or just search on pedestals.

Wow what a deer!!

Yes I've found one at McKenzie. I may have to get that one.

awesome buck! Do you know why some of our bucks have what I call "acorn tips?" bugsby has one near the top of his G2 on his right side.
That's a great question. I've always thought it was something that happened to the blood flow while there are in velvet. But that's just s guess!!

Here is an article about holes in antlers
