Many hunters bait, and many would like for baiting to be legal. Baiting is only unethical or immoral because it is unlawful. The act itself is not reprehensible, only the violation of the law which forbids it.

If all TN. hunters were to vote, I'm sure a great number would be in favor of legalizing baiting. I am not one of them. I am thankful for TWRA's decision of this issue, but I wouldn't criticize those who are in favor of baiting, only those who choose unlawfully to act on that opinion.

I don't know how TWRA spotted the corn pile..... :D

I agree somewhat here... if anyone was realy worried about disease transmition then feeding would also be illegal... that goes for your bird feeders too.

pitiful that as many deer that are out there, some folks suck at actual hunting so bad that they have to resort to this to just see one.

Let us be careful about casting stones...I dare say 99% of us speed everyday...that is breaking the law too! Just saying.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I'm off to carjack the first nice pickup I see and rob some folks before I head off to see my crack dealer. After all, I speed, so it's all the same...

Really??

To God it is brother...a sin is a sin.
Speeding is a sin?lol

Jesus, and I thought Anderson county had a pretty good crop of deer too. I personally don't care if you hunt (shoot) over bait or not, but if you're gonna play with fire....sooner or later you're gonna get burned.

Glad you got caught. Tired of folks like you baiting places up to draw most of the deer in an area to you(yes that happens in big hardwood areas). Hope the judge throws the book at you( even though probably wont unless you have tons of priors)

I suppose that is one way to cope with game laws that you don't like, just ignore them.

Do you ignore all regulations, like checking in animals killed, bag limits, hunting seasons, legal shooting time, do you use a rifle year round or do you actually use the legal weapon?
Do you buy a license or just hunt anyway because you don't feel a license should be required?
Or do you follow the laws you don't personally have issues with?

The biggest question that comes to my mind is, did you get a ticket for hunting over bait or are you actually just trying to start crap on the site?

I will give this to you, if you were dumb enough to willingly and knowingly ignore game laws, you definately don't mind telling everyone about it.

I wonder if you would be this "ok" with it if you were fined about $15,000. I also wonder if you would have done it if you knew you would be fined like that if caught.

Just for curiosity, would you ever try to get the law changed in the future or will you continue to lay the golden nuggets out ?

Wow...tell him how you really feel.

To each their own.I was hunting over bait this weekend at LBL a big nice bean field.
