Bamaproud might be the only one capable of answering this question. After the Buckeyes' domination of _ichigan today, they have one loss. The same number of losses as both Alabama and Oklahoma who are both currently ranked #2 and #3 in the latest CFP poll. Yet, Ohio State's loss is to a much higher ranked team than either of Bama's or the Sooners' (the Sooners loss was to an unranked team with a losing record).
I know what the common refrain will be so try to have an original thought. As a twist, Oklahoma is in the Big 12 not the "best conference in the world. Ever." Baylor lost. If Stanford beats ND (or maybe even if the Irish win) and If MSU beats Penn State which looks highly likely and MSU beats Iowa, I can foresee two B1G teams in the playoffs. Oklahoma losing will really help, but after Ohio State's absolute domination of the skunk weasels, things could get very interesting starting 12/1.
