My husband took me for the first time this year. I loved it and there were plenty of birds, just not in our corner. They flew the opposite way we thought they would. Either way, we moved out to the middle and got a few late in the day. SO Fun!

Haven't been yet. Going on the afternoon hunt at my uncles. We had a lot of birds there this past weekend, but we found out there were some fields close by that had opening day shoots. So it is up in the air now if we have anything to shoot at. He has worked hard all Spring and Summer preparing this field. We'll just have to wait and see. I told him next year we need to shoot it opening day, but he would rather shoot it on the 1st Saturday of the opening weekend. He said it is tougher for some of his buddies to get time off work.
Did they bait that field?

Dad and I shot 27 this morning
I killed 12 this morning, should have limited twice . Never said i was a good wing shooter.

5 of us this morning in a TWRA leased (2nd hunt) early this morning. We got 15, 14, 10, 8 and 6. They were flying good for a second hunt.
My uncles hunt turned out to be a pretty good one, considering a field was shot up pretty good a couple miles away on opening day. There were 14 of us, and most of us limited out. The ones that didn't limit out were very close to it when we decided to hang it up for the evening. My new Yildiz 20 gauge over/under shotgun performed flawlessly. My 12 gauge Mossberg stayed in the case. I am sunburnt, tired and ready to hit the couch.
Good deal. There was a lot of shooting in the dove field that borders the woods I was squirrel huntin this morn

Killed 10 today should of had my limit easy.. Don't know what my problem was but shot horrible. Shot at probably 30 birds as much as I hate to say it. They were getting it though coming in fast and furious doin barrel rolls fangs out and everything! Oh well 25 so far out of 2 hunts...
Limit yesterday in Rhea Co. Browning Citori 20g IC/Mod
The fields slowed down for me yesterday. My dad hasn't been able to go until yesterday, so I put him in what I thought would be the best spot. He didn't like it, so I swapped with him.
After I had 9 down and he only had fired one shot, I talked him to swapping again. He ended up with 11, but I didn't get anymore shooting.
