Favorite squirrel hunting 22

I've got several 22's but my old Marlin 25 is my favorite. Its the first gun I ever bought.

For next year, I'm leaning towards getting a Tikka T1x Hunter with a 16" barrel and suppressing it.

Thanks for the information. That Tikka is a nice looking rifle.
Bergara makes a nice one as well. Think it's called a BMR. It's the bolt action one. I wasn't impressed with their 10/22 clone (thinking BHR).
I don't think you would be disappointed with either one...the Tikka, Bergara, or CZ. I would still choose the CZ, but I prefer wood and blue.

If I already had a 10/22, I think I'd start building it out before buying a different gun. If I don't go the Tikka route, this is what I'll probably end up doing.
I went that route...built a 10/22...barrel, trigger, etc. Ended up selling it. Was way deeper in it money wise than just buying a 457. And although it was accurate, it was less so than any CZ I've owned.

I've got a few other squirrel rifles that do the job but I think my CZ 452 full stock is the most accurate.

Remington 541 S
SWEET! Post some pics of her! They're the most elegant bolt action 22 to ever to hit the market, IMHO! I have one that I'm wringing out for it's most desired ammo, another one in the safe NIB and unfired, a 541 T HB unfired, another T sporter barrel on the way and considering another T Sporter barrel that I just spotted. For me they are more of an addiction than the CZ 457s 😁

Best $350 I ever spent

I always enjoyed slipping into the woods with my Marlin Golden 39A. Bought it back in the mid 60s. A bunch of squirrels, rabbits and groundhogs have met their demise with that gun.
