I'm getting conflicting information. Is a Photo ID card still required and if so, where and when do you get it? Thanks.
Your initial purchase through MWR is all you need to gain access to your iSportsman account, permits, and area access. Once you are in the iSportsman system the MWR permit is of no use to you or FCFW.

But do we have to have a Photo ID made by you guys to be legal to hunt the Fort or is our permit that we print off of the iSportsman website all we need??

Confusing as in do we need a Photo ID made there to be legal to hunt the Fort or is our permit and registration on the iSportsman website all we need???

Has anyone that emailed theyre permit request been validated?

I got permit number from mwr and made isportsman account but I don't see that it's been validated.

I'm trying not to beat a dead horse here brw42, but can you tell me, yes or no, with all certainty, that we do or do not have to have a Photo ID made there to be legal to turkey hunt there on the Fort this spring???

All you need is your iSportsman permit. You print them directly from your house, or you can come by our office and print there.

I printed my permit from the iSportsman website, laminated it and placed it in my wallet. So from what you're telling me, I'm good to go. Thanks again for all of your help! :super:

Yes, mine was validated this morning and I just printed it, as well as emailed a PDF to my phone just in case I were to ever need it. Thanks FTC!

Not sure if anyone on here is tracking this or not, but it is my understanding that in order to check into an area you first have to be checked out of your current area. So that means that since you now check in 24 hours prior instead of 48,if you are hunting an area on saturday morning you have to check out of that area first before you can check into an area for Sunday. If the check in times stay the same that means you must be checked out of that area on saturday between 0815 and 1000 depending your status to check in for Sunday.

So I'm hearing you will only be able to check in to one area at a time.(the day before your hunt) this is going to be an interesting year. Think I'm going to wait till after turkey season before I permit up.

Yes, that is my understanding, I called and spoke to DPW today and said they should be posting all the info on the isportsmen soon. It is crazy I think I will file an ice comment on this. Has an active duty soldier in the unit I am in we are gone six months a year and I am very limited on my time hunting already. And I know that the people that live out of town are screwed also. Plus they didn't put any of these changes out prior to people purchasing permits. We are paying to hunt, I understand if people check in before me and I don't get an area but to completely be denied is Bull%$#@.

It's my understanding that the check in times will be in the late evening. I think this could be a good idea to keep people from holding a spot in a area just so they have one IF they decide to hunt. Most of the of the time you know if your going to be able to hunt or not the night before.

If that is the case I am fine with that. That makes sense to me, but if they leave the check-in times the same (which when I spoke to them today they said has of now they would be) it is upsetting.

False.

Check-in time will be night prior to hunt.

^^^^Thanks for clarifying. Any ideas what the time will be when we can start checking in? I assume you are meaning something like 6PM?
