Dang! Well I guess if you don't live here, you are pretty much S.O.L. No way I would fork out the money for a permit and hotel/camp/gas/etc.

BRW42 thanks for the clarification, I actually talked to DPW yesterday and that is the info I was given. Not trying to start rumors, maybe a miscommunication between me and the lady that was working or I misunderstood. Either way thank you for clearing it up.

Not to start an argument, but no one at DPW Fish and Wildlife would have told you that. You may have been told that check-ins were based on 24 hour scheduling, but not that check-in times were 0815-1000. Chances are you spoke with myself or one of 4 technicians all who are very fluent in the current changes that have been released.

Remaining changes for turkey hunting will be posted this afternoon on the homepage.

It's a lot of change to soak in for everyone. We will all get through the change. My head hurts so bad that I'm pretty sure it is a permanent headache...lol

Well for those of you who didn't like dealing with Outdoor Rec in the past, it'll be interesting to see how you like DPW and the shat show they are running. At least in the past Chrisoula, Jamie, and the others at Outdoor Rec had the best interests of everyone as their priority, not just a select few. I expect the Gentleman's Club will have free reign over the whole place now....All comments are welcomed.
 
Maybe this has been covered, so if check in is at 20:01 the night before, do you still need to pick up paperwork the following day? If so then wouldn't that eliminate morning hunts before 8AM.

I'll be set up at the intersection of Palmyra and Mabry Road, printing area assignments for "donations". LOL

What if you are away from home or already on the base and use your phone to access the website to check in to an area. Can the area assignments be printed off at the DPW or Outdoor Rec office?? And what exactly are the kiosks to be used for that were mentioned earlier in this thread?? Thanks.

We will be open until 2100 on Friday for those staying at campgrounds, etc.

There are 4 computers here at the office that can be used to print permits and area assignments from 0730-2100
