Peeling, devaining and frying 7 pounds of shrimp is a lot of work.

Fried softshell crab is probably the best sammich on Earth.

I've done both and never could make up my mind which one was most successful. I used to have a paring knife with about first 1/2 inch sharp rest very dull.

My devein tool is just a piece of red plastic and was probably 30 years old and Wife broke it on first try. Near to fainted at replacement cost.

You dipnet them off a bridge?
 
No, my dad bought them and brought them up from Mobile. But I've picked up my share, just walking in the shallows. In high school and college I used to sell them to a seafood restaurant on Bay front Road in Mobile.
