Frustrated

I've only hunted 3 days and only 2 mornings, but have noticed a lack of gobbling on the roost. However, Saturday around 8 am the birds were blowing the woods down. I probably heard 200 gobbles between 8am-1pm. With that said, I only heard 2 gobbles on the roost. Once I got closer, I was able to get them fired up with a crystal call. They gobbled every time I hit them with the crystal call, but all had hens and lead them away from me.

Unfortunately, it's supposed to rain most of the week but maybe a switch will go off at some point. Once the hens start laying, the tide will turn and revenge will be short and sweet.

I hunted all weekend. Had two gobbling on the roost Saturday, but when they hit the ground it was silence....all day... Then Sunday I had two jakes sneak up on me. Didn't hear the first gobble or putt or anything. I agree with everyone saying that when the hens are laying, we will have smoking barrels.
