I'd gut deer all day long for $20 a pop. I've timed myself (knife and saw at the ready) and can do one in 3 minutes. $400 an hour wouldn't be bad pay

One of my close friends opened up his own processing biz a few years ago. He charges an extra $20 to gut. It blows my mind that so many people are glad to pay that to have it done. My buddy is glad to take it as well.

Ive yet to understand why anyone would drag a deer anywhere with the guts in it

Back when the Gallatin Steam Plant was a WMA there was a area near one of the parking areas that people used to dump carcasses.

My wife's brother in law used to drive one of the trash trucks. He said one Winter he probably picked up and loaded 100 or more deer that "hunters" dumped at the dumpsters.

I couldn't tell you the amount of deer that's went thru our dumpster at work lol.
