Seen this on the book of face just now. Charges are substantial as they should be.

My question is, what if it had just been a 6 pt, or any "normal" deer? Why wouldn't the charges still be the same? Why the amount of restitution plus jail time, etc for this deer and not other deer?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he got what he got. Just wish they would hammer these poachers with these kind of charges instead of a slap on the wrist with any kind of deer poached. I know a guy last year that didn't check one in. They took the deer and he got about a $180 fine. No loss of license or anything.

He got more jail time than 2 people I know that murdered their mother .
Well one murdered his mother and the other did mom and 11 year old brother also. Both sentences combined were less than 1 year.
Now let's Throw in the 4 hood rats that got nothing for beating a veteran within an inch of his life causing 6 months at the v.a with sepsis and a shorter life span all for a pizza, 20 bucks , cell phone , knife and hand gun.
 
Since he bandied my name all over the place, I guess he owes me that letter of apology. But he doesn't have my address, so I wont be looking for it any time soon! The company probably won't see half of their money back either. That restitution is gonna set him back for a while, but I truly hope he can recover and get on the right side of things now!
