Items or products you don't hunt without.

I have to say I'm one of those that more than I need in my pack. As an old Boy Scout and Military past being prepared is what i try to be. Yes it looks like I'll stay a week but just a day hunt. It would take awhile for me to list but i got it, i think. I take my pack every time i go into the woods. If nothing else my first aid kit is in it. Saw, extra flash lights batteries for cameras and even a extra camera if i need it. SD card pack to change out cards. SD Card Reader. Just to name a few extras.

Diiet myn dew and bow.

Oddly have never seen a need for binos. Just extra weght flopping around
I too rarely use my binos (always have them but rarely use them). But that's because most of my deer encounters are at point-blank range. Only time I use my binos is if I happen to be hunting from a condo over a big food plot. Then binos are essential for see to the ends of the plot at dusk and dawn.

I bought some hand warmers at Walmart last year and they work great. I bought 2 one for each pocket of my orange vest. They charge by USB and last me all day. They were about $10.00 bucks each. The best buy for last season. 3 settings low, medium and high. Stay off high it will cook you.
I too use electronic handwarmers. They are awesome! Plus, they save greatly on all the Hot Hands I used to buy. We would buy them by the case. Of course, we still buy Toastie Toes by the case...

Grunt call.
X2 . Feel naked without it . I always carry a fanny pack but may start carrying a backpack . Got to have water , tp , saw , knives with sharpener , extra gloves , used to carry binos but never hardly used them . Hot hands packs , my stands all have pull ropes and my climber has a rope in the saddle bag attached to stand but i carry extra nylon string just in case. Don't bring food because my back will not allow all day stands anymore . Oh yeah latex gloves in case I'm successful.

This thread was worth it just to discover electronic hardwarmers are a thing. Had no idea. And now I've got four being delivered soon.
I have them as well I like the old school ones better but I bought a cheaper pair that don't get very hot to me.

When I was younger my backpack was full as full can get same with my turkey vest the older I get the less I take.

But I don't go anywhere without paracord. But all of our permanent stands have hangers but I keep them in my pack to.

As said above clothes good clothes and good socks have changed more then anything.

Don't use or believe in any kind of scents. Unless you use a tarsal gland off a killed buck.

I read quite a bit while hunting that may be a weird one. Hunt a lot of hours a year and books help the slow times. Obviously there's spots where that doesn't work and there's hunts where it never comes out. But on the slow hunts it's nice.
