He was shooting a .308. 150 grain Norma soft point. He hit her high shoulder. I have never had him aim there before but with it raining I adjusted his aim point. He hit the spot.

Thank you sir. He struggles with getting steady with a deer in front of him. I had him practice aiming and getting comfortable on several deer at longer ranges before this one stepped out. I think it helped.

25 degrees this morning. But no wind so I'm warmer than I was yesterday in 44 degrees and wind 15 mph. 1 spike and 15 does so far.

I don't work a full week until the week after Thanksgiving. I'm off Mon, today, and Fri this week. Off Mon and Fri next week. And the whole week after that. Then work 3 day week Thanksgiving. Back to work 2 full weeks after that and then off another week in Dec. I try and save most of my time for deer season lol.

Been a great morning so far, deer have been moving good. First sit in a new stand, I could have done a little more trimming.
Beautiful morning! I'm jealous of you guys in the woods this morning! I wish you good luck! had some nice deer on their feet just before daylight today on cameras. Wife is having a little surgery today so gotta make sure she's good. If all goes well for her I'll work tomorrow and Thursday and then off til Monday after Thanksgiving.
Hope your wife has a successful surgery! Enjoy your time off!

West of Cookeville this morning had a big 8pt following a doe trot by me 0830, then 30 min later another big buck follows earlier buck n does trail at a fast trot nose to ground. While later grunted in a spike.

Well i did several grunts try to stop the 8 pt but he was busy, forgot to meh which is what i usually do..lol
Told myself this week try to save out for antlers so spike got a free pass...im generally a first deer i see goes into freezer
