Have not at this point in time. I kinda like the smell of the smoke LOL. But yeah, 200 grains will make many men cry. It's a heavy gun though, probably 10 plus pounds with scope. My 870 supermag turkey gun shooting 3-1/2 inch 2 oz. will make a man out of you more than the UML. Even still, I can empty the mag on my turkey gun one after another wearing only a t-shirt so not really that big of a deal. Being 250 pounds definitely helps. I probably couldn't have done it back in my high school days when I weighed 190.

Yea I shoot a Benelli Super Vinci with Hevishot Magnum Blend 3.5". And there have been a few times shooting a bird at an odd angle will leave me tasting pennies right after the shot.

With my custom load and a 6-24x50 vortex HST, my muzzleloader in CWD zone is a .270. I've shot it out to 600 but probably limit myself to 450 yds.

What kind of dope does it take to get out to 300 with that.

Mega, how much would a 10 mph full value wind push your bullet at 125? I'm thinking a couple inches at most.

Typical 50cal going 1900 fps... around 7 or 8 inches

For sure. It's a Browning ABolt .270 smokeless. Lol The state allows center fire rifles during ML in the CWD Zone.

I'm good to about 125 yards ( although I don't have many opportunities past 50-75 yards) with my TC Omega 50 cal with 100 grains of Blackhorn 209 and the Hornady 240 XTP.

With my TC Hawken and 80 grains of Pyrodex and a patched round ball, I'm okay to 75 yards.

I killed a decent IL 10 pt in a corn field late one evening at 225+. I thought he was a little closer than he was. But, he went down in his tracks. I was hunting from the ground, and had tripod shooting sticks in case I had to reach out.

I am not a good rifle shot, so there was some luck involved. 50 cal. Savage ML II with a 300 gr Barnes Original. Those are BAD bullets.

Probably my best (and luckiest) shot ever was with my ML. Younger and dumber, last chance to hunt a property that my brother sold, 180yds open sights (after scope failure and removal the day before) on an ancient 5pt. CVA hunter bolt magnum shooting pyrodex powder and 250gr TC cheapshots.

My TC Encore. 50 using Hornaday .452/sabots has taken coyote & deer at 120yard give or take a few. This year is 90gn volume BH209 and shots expected within 100yards. Most my deer are shot within 50 yards.

5-20 yard goal is AGM 8" Desperado double barrel 12gauge with 80 gn Goex FF and 1 oz ez-slug. Played with this today but shut down range so my sons could hunt evening. Will finalize load tomorrow afternoon. Probably be more like 100 gn either FF or FFF and also trying patched .715ish ball.
Got a real tight pinch/cut that is pretty heavy traveled I want to try with this gun from the saddle.

My smokeless shoot better than I can shoot. I once shot a nice buck at 162 yards with a Knight disc. I aimed for chest and hit him in neck. He just dropped and I was proud.

I hunt in the woods. The longest shot I've taken with my muzzleloader was 93 yards but I would feel confident up to 150 yards. I shoot a CVA Accura V2 with 150 grains of White Hot powder and a 250 grain Barnes Expander hollow point.
