I just threw up a little bit in my mouth, I'm embarrassed for them. "Not So Hevishot" or as I call it "Hevishit" marketing team has always been terrible. Must be someone's cousin running the social media accounts. They cant even come to a concensus of how heavy the shot is.

I really prefer them at 15 yards or less. I dont think Ive ever shot one over 20. However there were these field birds that I wish I could shoot with a danged rifle!

Those birds plagued me for four years before I finally got one. It was when I first started turkey hunting. I wish they had a little longer ranged shells back when I was a rookie. I got that one with some Turkey Thug 4s at about 20 yards.

Seen one last night scrolling through FB. Think it was on the KY Turkey Hunters page that said "Looking for a load to bust some heads past 50 for next year".. GEEZ. I almost started a "discussion" but just kept scrolling.

Lol! I usually dont comment on fellow hunters but 50 yards! Some states allow air rifles for turkeys. A big bore PCP could easily take a turkey at 100 yards maybe longer.

I agree 100% with getting any animal as close as possible and its my personal challenge to do just that, with a Bow while deer hunting or a shot at a Turkey! That being said I spend the time patterning my gun and loads and I try to know my absolute effective range, and I WILL shoot any time a clear shot presents itself within that range if I dont think I can get them closer. 50-55 yards is no longer a problem at all with a clear shot. Chokes and loads have came a LONG way in the 35 years I have been Turkey hunting and effective ranges have increased by almost 50% in those years.
