I be dang! Something I agree with you on.The HOF should be ashamed of themselves for not accepting him.
If they try to and I was his family I'd tell them to shove it!I'm sure they'll accept him now that he's gone just to further spite him. And what a shame that would be if it comes to pass!
I would send them a tik tok video of me getting my hair done the same day of the ceremony. Or maybe at sports book placing a bet on the Reds Just to spite them.If they try to and I was his family I'd tell them to shove it!
Yes sir. Not a Cubs fan either, but, prayed they'd win a World Series before I was gone. Wife even bought me a Cubs Champion hat!I haven't watched a single MLB but one since the 1980 strike and that was to watch the Cubs win.. Figure it won't happen again for another 1000 years so better catch it while I can.
Pete Rose was by far my favorite player of all time. Him and Johnny Bench. The HOF should be ashamed of themselves for not accepting him.
I was watching live in 2003 when Steve Bartman interfered with Moises Alou's attempt to catch the foul ball. I didn't (and still don't) believe in curses but it was hard not to when that happened. I'm glad I got to see them break the streak as well.Yes sir. Not a Cubs fan either, but, prayed they'd win a World Series before I was gone. Wife even bought me a Cubs Champion hat!

I understand but it felt ironic that one of Chicago's own would interfere on what could have been out #2 while leading 3-0. The Cubs would have been 4 outs away from winning the NLCS had Alou caught it. Bartman's blunder certainly didn't directly cost them the game, but it definitely took the life out of Wrigley and was a catalyst for the downward spiral. I hate he had to endure the insanity that followed in the years to come though.Bartman didn't throw a wild pitch, muff a ground ball at SS, or give up 8 runs in that same inning; nor did he make the team lose another come-from-behind game in game 7. Champions play like Champions, they don't blame a fan for killing themselves off.
Just as bad (or even worse for a 7-year old BMan) was the Cubs falling apart in September of 69 and letting the M$ "Miracle Mets" win the pennant.
I figured I'd never see the Cubs win a WS and by the time they did, I could not have cared less any longer.

Sure, it's a natural reaction. Others did reach, but unfortunately, he's the one who made contact. I agree he didn't deserve all the bs, which is why my last sentence in that post was what it was.Watch the video of the play and you'll see there were several people reaching for the ball. It's a natural reaction, and he didn't deserve the BS they heaped on him.
Not a baseball fan at all, but i agree that baseball has a hall of fame, Rose should be in itI be dang! Something I agree with you on.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at Bill Murray house to see his Collection of Cubs stuff. Its got to be insane as much money he throws around at nothing sometimes.Yes sir. Not a Cubs fan either, but, prayed they'd win a World Series before I was gone. Wife even bought me a Cubs Champion hat!
