Seek One knocks down a TN stud!!

I don't know who the boogie man is but I believe you've missed the whole reason for people not enjoying the Seek 1 "accomplishments" and their claim to fame. What have they truly accomplished and are they publicly publishing something useful to OUR community?

As for the other mentioned, I'm 100% against "public figures" and broadcasting public lands for your personal gain, especially if you don't hunt / enjoy them. Take your likes and shares elsewhere, pound sand and keep some of these places to yourselves. It shouldn't be a hard concept especially if you've ever rant about somewhere such as Yanahli being overrun. Just my .02.

Seek one still sucks.
Advertising our public lands is more beneficial to the hunting community than just about anything at this point.

Why is that? The monetization of hunting along with other economical trends will indefinitely put a close to hunting being an every man's sport. Over time we will begin to look more like England in regards to hunting. Only the richest will be able to participate. If we attempted to keep them "secret" where would them melinear folks and gen z folks hunt? Land will be incredibly expensive in the future. "But it's already expensive!" Nothing like it will be. We've already got Bill Gates and China buying a lot of our agricultural lands. One of the most important quotes that has ever been posted on here for those that were monetarily established enough to do so at the time was by a member who went by Landman. "Buy land. They aren't making any more of it" Even a lease will be incredibly difficult to be a part of in the future. Teddy Roosevelt was undoubtably the most important person to ever influence the hunting community when he began the process of setting aside our public hunting and wildlife reservation areas. I am proud to see people hunting public land and showing others the opportunities they have.

Why can't the gen z idiots do their own work? I'm pretty sure the lack of YouTube in the 80s and 90s didn't slow anyone down?
The only think it's doing is causing a bunch of dudes to roam the woods like lost children

So which parcel do you hunt and what accomplishments have come off of such? Please, enlighten us all.
Do I sound greedy much? Perhaps…
Advertising the use of public land, sure. It's a great commodity we should all enjoy.
Videoing and detailing specific public lands again, specifically FOR PERSONAL GAIN, not so much.

I've hunted most public land on West TN and a lot in KY/Middle TN.

If it matters to you my biggest kill was a 158" deer on Natchez Trace in 2014.

No one watches videos from 2014. Anything presentable more recent? That is quite the accomplishment though in all fairness.

It wasn't videod. And nothing I've done has been videod.

I'm not much of a hunter anymore. I've made a few posts about losing the desire to kill a deer since I killed that deer in 2014. I spent several years not hunting or scouting at all.. too busy being a dang millennial and drinking IPAs. In the past three years I have put more people on deer than the 10 times I've actually sat in the stand, but my scouting efforts have skyrocketed. I've been having a lot of fun doing it. So much fun I am forcing myself to hunt in the stand this year… simply because before you know it I will be living in England where I am not rich enough to hunt even if I wanted to. Part of the reason I have learned to be so vocal on making sure we do whatever we can to keep hunting a family sport and accessible to all

It's for personal gain.

"lol"
Fanboys will bury their heads or get extreme on the defense when facts like this are presented.

Remove the "likes" and monetary gain, that would shake it up.
You see, pimping out public resources aint cool no more when nobody gives you the 👍 and your YouTube check stops coming in. Imagine only having to kill a deer because you wanted too, not because you need "content".
Mind blown!

Some of this crowd reminds me of the Jan 6 committee...AT Hiker reminds me of Liz Cheney.

And I'll quote the great AT Hiker, the prophet of fanboys (that would be me)…"Fanboys will bury their heads or get extreme on the defense when facts like this are presented."

However, if you want to engage in a serious conversation, I'm game. Care to refute what I've stated in regards to exploiting a public resource?

Here's a couple facts:

Pursuing suburban bucks has been going on a long time. I have copies of North American Whitetail going back thirty years chronicling the pursuit of some big city bucks. This is nothing new. The medium may have changed -it's gone from print to video- but the exploitation (that a lot of you are claiming) has happened for decades. There's been a lot of magazines sold through the years showcasing some of these landlocked bruisers. Instead now it's clicks and likes that equate to dollars. Big bucks sell, always have.

Next, has anyone considered the fate of this majestic animal if he didn't fall to a well-placed arrow? Hit by a car, only to have his head cut off by an enthusiastic passerby? Coyote attack? Disease? I haven't seen this talked about. At least the way he died he will be honored with beautiful mount and displayed for many to see and appreciate. I think the vast majority of us here would want that for the deer.

I saw it claimed that they were/are irresponsible because "if this would've happened then it would provide fuel to the anti's." Well, it didn't happen. But instead we have a forty page thread bashing our fellow outdoorsman for their unpopular methods. (Not the first time our community has done this) How much fuel have we supplied to the anti's by doing so?

This is the first seek 1 video I've watched in its entirety. I probably won't watch another one unless I see something getting talked about here. Their methods and style aren't for me. I have zero interest in doing what they do. I'm not a threat to them the same way I'm not getting into running dogs in florida or south Carolina anytime soon. While it's not for me I support others right to do so. If they recruit a few people into trying to take this style of hunting on, then thats potentially fewer guys I'm competing with In the public land I hunt. I'm OK with that.

Finally, a little good-natured ribbing is fine. If you feel strongly, sure put your opinion out there. But some of you have gone too far. With all that's going on in the world, I'm sure there are more worthwhile causes to direct your hatred.

All-in-all, -I can only speak for myself-the seek 1 guys seem like an OK group. I'd have a beer with them.
