Seek One knocks down a TN stud!!

I was thinking the golden acorns as well. However "convincing" the owner to tell all the local guys "no hunting" may have been the hardest part. Nevermind, some Benjamin's easily take care of that.

according to others, those deer live on a 1,000 acre no hunting park and were mysteriously drawn to less than 1 acre spot. What are the odds of any buck over 3.5 yrs leaving a 1,000 acre sanctuary to feed on 0.5 acres of woods? I could really care less, but something smells kinda fishy.
You're sure to ruffle some feathers with a "liberal", "non 130 deer killing", "Luke Bryan hating" response like that. Say it isn't so.

I wouldn't grab one but i bet if i had some corn i could get within 10 feet of them.
That will work for this conversation. Just go back to that neighborhood and stand there with some corn in hand. If they lick your hand, I will give you $50 bucks for effort.

I said within 10 feet not lick my hand. I bet you $100 i can get to within 10 feet of them.

So what do you think was the most difficult aspect of killing this suburban deer on .86 acres on east Nashville private ground backing up to a major public park?

He did knock on a lot of doors his knuckles had to be sore.
I appreciate anyone who is willing to knock on doors to gain access to hunt.

Most are too shy and lack confidence. It takes a real man to seek what he wants, find it, gain access, and then put in the time and effort to legally take it from those who lack the ability and gumption to do it.

And probably handed out several Benjamin's to tenants for access
Maybe...maybe not, but how is that any different from other leases? I see people shelling out thousands to hunt a lease with others. They often throw more money into luscious food plots or these golden acorns people talk about where legal.

In total, I wonder how many of them knocked on doors?

Better yet, I wonder how they actually found this deer?

Once they did locate a leashed target, I wonder how much cash it cost them? After all, it was a return on investment. You know, what it's all about…

I find it hard to believe they just wondered in from ATL or wherever they're from and stumbled on it.

Well it IS Fair chase..so there is that.

It is NOT high fenced, it is free range.

Just because the deers range happened to have been near houses does NOT change the definition..no matter how hard you try to change it to fit what YOU want it to be.
Sorry..youre wrong and that is the fact .

The group think mob mentality is strong within you guys aint it? Quite sad to see actually.
High school fanboy. Even better. You maturity is really shining thru.

Take a stab at why your average Joe joins a lease vs. why they would fork out the same cash for MINIMAL acreage and probably only one deer on their mind.

I'll give you two hints:
Monetary / Ego

Even if they don't fork out cash, it's for PERSONAL FAME. It's killing a tamed deer in a suburban arena.

They google Tennessee parks then go to google earth find a spot were the deer come out [So called pinch point] and go lease it. You would be surprised at the pics people put on the internet of big bucks in parks and name the park were they took the pic.

And people wait 10 years to drive through the ghetto and hunt within a hundreds of yards of industrial noise at Presidents Island every year....for the ego of hunting the spot I suppose. Cause there does not seem to be many big deer to be killed.

Seek1 is that you?

I've spent untold hours for 40+ hunting within this pic. More homes have been built in the last 20 years, but the feeling and experience is basically the same each time I hunt. My son killed his first solo buck there last year. I killed a big fat doe on the morning of my grandfather's funeral 25 years ago. I once ran outside with my rifle in my skivies onThanksgivng morning when I saw a big buck chasing a doe across the field...the family got a kick out of that.

Am I less of a hunter because I have hunted 200-500 feet from a house in all these years? What if they eat out of our garden? Or eat the acorns in our yard at night?

You've obviously never been to PI.

Real man goes door to door begging for access? I hate asking anybody for anything. That's why I bought some land and I lease some land.
