Ski - GardePro cameras

First check of my A50. Very pleased so far. I will try to share in a later post.

I really liked the photo+video option. The video quality was good and the audio was surprisingly good too.

Still had several false triggers, but I also realized with the video that the camera was picking up movement of squirrels, birds, etc. that I didn't see in the photo until I saw them moving in the video.

More than likely the false triggers are actually birds or squirrels. Mine even picks up mice. Like you said it's something you don't see in a pic but can for sure see it in video.

If you get too much action you can set the PIR to low. That should tame it down. Mine are on medium and rarely false trigger.

My Brownings will trigger on mice and voles crawling through the leaves. At night, all you can see is a little pair of reflective eyes peaking out of the leaves.

Well??? Have you played with it yet?
I thought it would take longer, so I went and worked cameras Friday, only to find it waiting on the porch when I got home. Won't get deployed for a few more days.

Hope to get my A60 4K out tomorrow or Friday. Although I doubt I will set it at maximum resolution of 4K. I don't have any devices that are 4K compatible. My TV, PC monitor, and tablet are all HD (1920x1200) instead of 4K.

I've not hung mine yet but did test them to see what they could do. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts.

It's got fresh batteries in it and is sitting on my desk. May hang it in my front yard tonight just to try it out. Even here in suburbia, odds are I'll get a deer, or skunk, or coon, or possum, or armadillo....

You should, then let us know what you think tomorrow.

My GardePro worked great last year (1st year). Put it up for spring/summer then put back out in Sept. Now the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth uploads to my phone are extremely slow--really it's unusable now. The picture quality is also now bad. I've looked at a firmware update but lost the USB cable that came with it. You have to have the old USB type mini B for my model. Cheap Chinese crap I guess.

I won't know about illumination at night in-the-field, but last night I strapped the GardePro to a tree near my front door and pointed it across the yard towards the street. The trigger distance on the A60 4K is no joke! It was regularly triggering on dog walkers and runners on the other side of the street. I'll have to measure it, but I guarantee that's over 120 feet. Video was ultra-clear. Too many street lights and house lights to truly test the night-time illumination.

If it's anything like its predecessor the A5 it'll light up anything it can detect. As far as I can tell it's the same IR system.

When mine first arrived I set one up in the kitchen to catch daily life in the house. I was blown away at not only how clear the video was but also how loud and clear the sound was. It was like watching a reality show of myself on a high def TV. I didn't think a camera could in all practicality be any better than the A5 but the A60 certainly is.

I also noticed a new function. It has a false trigger adjustment that's separate from the IR detection level. That's something I've never seen on any camera before.

I noticed that as well. Interesting feature.
