Someone explain why TENNESSEE is so expensive to deer hunt….

That's mature. I lived and worked in TN for 35 years. Probably operated on one of your family members if in ET. I came to " hunt " with my grandson that is eaten up with the idea of deer hunting. They don't have hunting from where he was from, and he didn't have a grandfather or father to take him.

So F' off sport.

Wow, a cathartic moment on TnDeer. First time in over 15 years!
The ignore feature is the best way to deal with idiots on here.

To the OP.
I feel like the Lifetime license ended up hurting the agency. When they began selling that license money was made on those sales through interest gaining investing.
Well, interest turned to shat in 2008 and stayed that way till recently. That's a huge hit imo.

this right here. how do u expect to sell children license for 200/300 for a lifetime license instead of $300 a year!!! but im fine with it. my grandchildren will never have to pay twra a dime!!

it is a gamble. many of the kids with a life-time license will not take up hunting nor fishing, or eventually quit. the state makes out pretty good on those as far as money is concerned. no tags issued, no fish being caught etc.

in the state of tennessee with a hunting or fishing parent thats willing to gamble its prob not good odds for TWRA!!! compare the numbers. 50 percent do hunt for say $ 300 for life. or 50 percent pay $300 a year for life. l know some will never hunt or fish but again thats low odds in tennessee

Guess they shouldn't have released all those rattlesnakes, eh?
yoiu heard about them too! i had an ol' boy in SW Virginia swear that they were lowering nets full of rattlesnakes down from helicopters on Clinch Mountain so the state could declare it a "wilderness area" and steal the farmers property... i don't know HOW this fellow finds his way to the gas station and back without a seeing eye dog... his wife probably does all of the shopping....

damn black panthers and coyotes were released also!!! that sneaky twra!! what will we do with them!!!
can anyone confirm !!! i didnt think so !!! keep paying those prices!!! and still let them tell you what you can and cannot do on your land!!! just please ask them too tell uou what happened to the turkey population since 2000!
