Bogota was slow for me. One hen spoon and shot at some passing woodies.

Didn't really see ducks so decided to not bother with hotel room. Scouted some other wma's and came back home.

Talked to a few folks around and they all said the same thing, few ducks around.

Hopefully gets better.

Not a bad looking set up. Looked like last year or the year before it had been corn, you could still see the stubble. It was all moist soil and a good deal of coffee bean in there.

IMO there isn't enough water showing or more accurately maybe there isn't enough water in one spot showing. They took a bush hog down through there but it was mostly one tractor width wide. Where I am supposing they intended for you to set up (about three separate spots within the unit) it was maybe two or three widths wide. By the time you had a few decoys out you had basically covered the entire hole and weren't really able to leave them open water to land in.

If you look on the google maps you can see a few trees in a clump in the middle of the pool. I put a chair in that clump of young trees. If I were Tdubs I would just get rid of those trees there (the little ones) as I don't think they are really serving a purpose. There is one or two oaks in there but the bulk are maples or something and were just sticks.
