Gonna try and keep my temper in line here….Largest set I ever found. This deer was 166" and some change last season as a 4.5yo. Mind you I have watched this deer since he was a 2.5yo typical 12 point. I told 1 "close friend" where he was and wouldn't you know it they sold me out to a damn celebrity hunter tv show who bought the land next door to my spot then shot him over a pile of corn on opening day this year…he went 183" gross

Do we have a decent rewarding story at how the game wardens paid mr celebrity a visit. And all have lost they're hunting privileges and fined thousands of dollars. That sure would make an excellent ending to the story.

Those are great. Buttercups and trespassing dirt bike tracks are all I've found on my last two trips.

It was all easy hiking. I'll start hitting the ridges and bedding areas in a couple weeks. I don't want to push the deer out until I'm sure they've shed. I've also got to wage a war against the groundhogs. They've got holes all over the bottom field.

That sucks buddy! Was it in TN and they broke the law or a state where it's legal? Sucks regardless.
I have found that sheds stick out more during and after a rain.
