UF job

I like lane as a coach, but when you break down his History it's not real impressive. 10 years as a College HC.

1 year Tennessee left them High and Dry after a 6-6. Cool I guess.

3+ years USC.....year 3 USC went 6-6.....year 4 they started 3-2 Lane was fired....Not impressive at all.

3 year Florida Atlantic.... Year 2 they went 5-7 its Florida Atlantic anyone impressed with that stop.

Ole Miss year one....5-5 record.... year two 9-2 so far.

If he leaves Ole Miss after this year, after 4 head coaching gigs his Avg stay will be 2.3 years per program

If you wanna throw in his Sad NFL experience where he went 5-15 and fired a little over a season his AVG stay as a HC is right at 2 years.

Bam!

The Athletic recently interviewed several anonymous high school football coaches in Mississippi about college football recruiting. And several of them made similar unflattering comments about Kiffin.

"I don't think Lane cares enough about recruiting to want to have to fight the battle for the kid," said a coach from South Mississippi. "He'd rather show up, be Ole Miss, and win it."

"I just don't think that's (recruiting) Lane's shtick," said the same coach. "Some people think he's a great recruiter, and I really don't. I don't think he gives a yugo about it, to be 100 percent honest. That's why it wouldn't surprise me if he left this year."

"Kiffin does a great job on social media building up a perception of him on social media," said another coach from Mississippi.

A coach from Central Mississippi said that Kiffin hasn't attended the state coaching clinic since arriving in Oxford, something that previous Ole Miss head coaches always did.

Kiffin is in this business for himself. He's always chasing the next big thing. And that's why he'll likely leave Ole Miss after this season.

Bottom line is Lane is

Lane IS going to do what is best for himself. He is working his way out of a hole he dug himself into with some missteps he made along the way no doubt. He is proving himself to be the next up and coming Nick Saban. No doubt in the next 5 to 10 years he will be winning at the very top level of CFB. It just probably won't be at Ole Miss.

9-2 with a Heisman caliber quarterback. You take Matt Corral out of the picture and this year looks a lot different, also several of those 9 wins that he barely won

Side Note. Not that James Franklin has been mentioned but he just signed a 10 year 85 mil extension with PSU so he's off the table

At the rate he switches jobs in the next 5-10 years he will have coached for 3 quarters of the SEC lol

Why does LSU not seen very interested in Napier....from everything I've seen his on down there list.

Dude already coaches Louisiana think it would be a pretty easy move if they wanted him.

He doesn't want them. He cancelled the meeting. He knows LSU is fixing to get hit with a lot of trouble.

Looks like it will be Napier

We shall see, he looked good at Louisiana.

UF and the SEC is a whole different world. Still glad they didn't get Kiffin.

Billy first 3 years at Louisiana 28-11

Dan first 3 years at UF 29-9, Fans was ready to fire him by week 5 year #4

Dan NEVER liked to recruit. Was arrogant and to loyal to his staff to make changes that needed to be made. Big difference.
