Would definitely make a statement if we hired him. It would set the rest of the league on notice that we're, once again, taking football seriously. And I'd support it 100%.

But, I don't think Fulmer or others have the stones to do what needs to be done.

I made a similar comment last week while watching the Vandy Ole Miss game. All I had really watched all season was the top tier teams and none of the bottom tier teams. They seemed MUCH smaller and everything seemed like it was in slow motion.

Here is the rule but its not just crystal clear to me.

Says the coach cannot be hired to a NON-field coaching position 2 years before or after the recruit.

Rumor is Gus is gonna be out at Auburn and if so Chip Lindsey could become TN OC if Stoops from KY gets the Auburn job.
