Was it UKs Stoops? I coulda swore I read somewhere they were talking about Bob. Lol I dont see Auburn being interested in Mark Stoops.

We have lots and lots of problems. Can't pinpoint it to just one area. In fact, I can't think of one area that we were strong in including coaching

I think it's time to wake up and realize coaching is not the problem at vols.

Butch Jones is at ALABAMA and he does not seem to be slowing us down any . vols have a Head coach fresh off the #1 program in the NCAA

All the preaching that fat Phil did when he came in about having the best of facilities the best of this and the best of that don't mean squat when u have the upper office in play behind the scenes pulling the strings and holding the program back .

I'm sure there will be the usual talk in two or three years about firing JP and starting over when the SEC victories and NC don't come ur way but I just don't see it happening for the vols even with my ALABAMA blinders on till some serious moves are made in the upper office . That's my humble opinion .

Just to be clear, I am not "judging" CJP as of yet. But if you have WATCHED the UT games, the coaching would leave you scratching your head to say the least. I am all for giving him 5 years. I'm sick of the coaching carousel. With that being said, just because he comes as an assistant from bammer, certainly does not make him an elite head coach. I hope that's what he turns into by all means but it not certain just because he has been a successful assistant at all his stops. Call Phil fat if you like but the guy is orange through and through and I'm glad he is back.

Agree, Coach P needs time and now he needs another OQ! Coaches are on the move these days as money is everywhere. I'm always happy to see an in state and even former player do well and come home to coach. Loyalty might be ole fashion, but it still works in my opinion. Coach Fulmer does bleed orange and dealing with the Haslem heavy hand has to be a pain. I think that has been a program problem for years, dealing with the Haslems and what they want and they wanted Phil gone. Coach Majors still has OUTSPOKEN hate for Phil and that's not helpful.

This UT team has change shock. There has to be some stability or the program will never rebound. Leave Pruitt alone for awhile. These fair weather fans who think just change coach's and everything will be great know very little. For everything that has gone on with firing Phil, Hiring Kiffen, Dooley then Jones were all mistakes. For all of that they should have left Phil in place. I don't know what it is, but top coaches don't seem to want to come to Knoxville for some reason. I think its the culture at the AD level and above. I think if the Haslems and maybe a few others will butt out and let a good man coach, I think UT can again be highly competitive. Maybe the way they did Phil sent the wrong message.

I think Coach Pruitt is a good man and he'll improve things if given sometime and the idiots don't get too loud.
