• Help Support TNDeer:

What did you do today in the reloading room?

Anyone know where you can find 165 g 30 cal. Bullets? It seems they are nowhere. I've been looking all over the internet for over a month and can't locate anyone offering them.
I did load some 270 140 g with H4831sc to try. I've always loaded 130s and they worked well but had the 140s and wanted to give them a try too.
While I'm not Larrys biggest fan, these might help you out

I've got a box of 168's I'd part with

I've shot quite a few of these and they do a great job on deer. I prefer the boat tail version over these but both give me excellent accuracy and are deadly on deer.

Ran my prepped 243 brass through the wet tumbler without pins to wash away any brass shavings from trimming and chamfering and deburring. Set out to dry.

Cleaned my little 223 that I finished building not too long back, then shot about 40 rounds through it. Pretty happy with the accuracy. Tried running some through the chrono, but ran into some issues, wasn't much wind but guess what little there was kept causing errors and my phone app wouldn't sync. Figured out my mic permission for the app was shut off after I came in.

I did the same thing about a year and a half ago. I got a Frankford Arsenal from MidwayUSA. Compared to air drying, even in direct sunlight, my dryer dries brass more thoroughly and in roughly 1/4 of the time. Big time saver!
I have a nesco, that I use for jerky. I may pick up some extra trays for it to dedicate to using for brass. Can't see there being any potential contamination to the dehydrator itself, or is there?

I know of no reason why there would be. For my experiences, the largest advantage of using a dehydrator rather than simply air drying is the time savings and the lack of water spots when drying like @nso123 said above.
