What did you do today in the reloading room?

Crappy day at work, needed a stress release. Loaded 7-08 with NBT 140's with N140, varget & 4350. I'm better now.

POA and POI can be shifting due to heat in the barrel. Some barrels can be much more sensitive to this. One thing that I learned years ago concerning scope adjustments is that some scopes "settle" after being adjusted. On my less expensive scopes I always dial past my desired adjustment by one click, then back up to where I wanted to be. It seems to help with the "settling" issue.
Agreed. I have a 300 WSM Model 70 that has the sporter barrel contour, and it'll hold 1/2 MOA at 500 yards, with 3 shots, but the 4th and 5th start to fly. I know it's limitations so I stick to 3 shot groups, and it's a hunting rifle, so if I can't get it done with 3 shots, I don't need to be trying at all. :)
