What did you do today in the reloading room?

I'll be interested to see your results. I did "ok" with h-4350 at 42gn I believe. I'm gonna shoot another set of 5 in .5 increments to rule out shooter suckedness 😭
That's interesting. I know they are not exactly the same, but for my 6.5 cm's, with 143 grain eldx, the sweet spot was at 42 grains of imr 4350. Yielded excellent accuracy.

Got the 280ai to run some rounds through, seemed the 160 NBT & 4831sc combo is strong. 5 shot groups. I am the KING of pulling a shot when I have a good group going. I gotta fix that.
Also shot 150 Berger's wasn't to happy with them, I believe I'm off on seating depth.

Where'd you find that "8431" powder at buddy? 😁
Some fine looking groups there, I believe you're onto something!

Loaded up 5 test rounds at max book load for 6 arc, 29.4 grains accurate 2520 with 100 grain hornady btsp in Lapua brass.

Setup my fa universal micrometer die for 6arc to load some eldx test rounds. Loaded 3 each at 27.6, 28, and 28.4 accurate 2520.

I have been slowly accumulating the parts i need to begin reloading 300 blackout. But I am hung up on the bullets. There just doesn't seem to be a reasonably priced bullet in 110 - 120 grain group other than 30 cal varmint bullets. It used to be that they were a lower priced bullet than 150 grain deer bullets, I am surprised to say the least. Any suggestions?

Sierra and Hornady used to both make a 125/130 spitzer that would be fine at blackout speeds for deer. Another option is a 130 gr Speer hollow point. Some guys at work love them in their 30-06. What I'm not sure of is which, the tnt or a different one. My understanding is the hp is pretty big on them.

410 3 inch 5 & 6 shot. Along with 28ga 3/4 oz 5 & 6 with a few 20ga 1oz 4. Spring squirrel seasons in May. Waiting on my 280 Ackley Improved rifle to come in. Planning on reloading 168 berger VLD. Or 180 gr berger with imr or h 4831 in a nosler case.

The Barnes 110 tac tx are pricey for sure but they are super accurate for my gun with H-110. I have some Speer 125's that were pretty cheap but shoot well with both cfe-black & h-110. That I plink with.

The Hornady 110gn V-Max is spectacular on deer at .300blk velocities. From 8 out to 200yds so far with no issues whatsoever.
I'm getting them to 2400ish fps with H110 & I've had 4 bang-flops. They're a little fragile for hogs, but I wouldn't hesitate on a smaller pig.

Edit: Keep an eye on Midway for 110gn blems. Last batch I bought, I scored 500 for a hair over $150, I believe. They're Vmax.

Just primed 100 pieces of once fired 10mm brass, and belled the mouths of 100 pieces of new 10 mm brass. Got 50 165gr jhp loaded with Blue Dot to try in the new Glock 20 10mm. Now just waiting on the big brown truck to bring me a few hundred more 180gr XTP's and some ammo boxes.
