What did you do today in the reloading room?

Loaded 66 rounds of 9mm a little while ago. 125 gr. RN powder coated and 5.0 gr. Herco. Need to get out and do some a little shooting.

Finally...

I have a Rem 700 7mm-08 Mountain Rifle with a pencil barrel. I have been working off and on for 2 years trying to get it to shoot groups. Never did it shoot factory loads consistently better than 1 MOA, my reloads were at best .7 or .8. (First shot, cold bore, day-to-day was pretty good, so I have hunted with this since 2006.) I found some factory seconds Ballistic Tips in 140g at SPS. People seem to say on these message boards that if you can't get BTs to group you need to sell your rifle. Well... I shot good groups Friday and confirmed today.

Varget has a nice node for me just over 42 grains, seated .020" off the lands. Now I'm ready for November.

If it ever stops raining, wind blowing and any of them other detriments to group testing, we'll get together at dead Zero and stretch it out buddy!

I got out today and popped off about 60 rounds of 9mm, and about 60 rounds of .38. Me and the wife set out a couple trees and went and found 18 dry land fish (morels) this afternoon. I sized 200 .38 cases and expanded about 100. Work starts back tomorrow........

You might try to play with seating depth to tighten the group even more. The vertical is great and seating depth will tighten up the horizontal. I bet you could get to one hole. Looks good!

Also, with my pencil barreled 300 WSM, I can only shoot 3 shots consecutively and maintain .5 MOA accuracy out to 500 yards, the 4th and 5th shots always spread out. I've concluded that it's the heating of the thin barrel that allows those last two shots to fly out.

I am going out prairie dog hunting on Monday. I'll be using my Savage Model 25 varmint rifle in .223, with aVortex 6-24 power tactical scope. About a 1000 rounds of .223, loaded with 24.4 grs. of accurate 2460 powder, And 55 gr, Hornady V Max bullets. Also about 300 loaded with Sierra's 55 gr. HPBTs. Also taking a Marlin model 60 22 lr. using CCI Stingers .

Getting great results in 4 223 rifles with Shooters World Tactical powder. 24.5 grains gets more velocity than H322.; Talking under 3/4 inch in all 4.

Since the PD's did not have a lockdown I hear the numbers have skyrocketed, I hop you shoot up all those rounds.

Ahhhh COOL OFF!!! Ha!!

How akrit is it buddy? As in consistently dropping to the .00 of a grain that is.
It took about 10-12 throws for the AI to figure out the right mix but now it's pretty accurate and fast. There are some tweaks I haven't gotten into yet that will make it super fast but 5-10 seconds to within 1 kernel of Varget is pretty awesome so far.

I got back from prairie dog shooting on May 5th. Had to figure the wind on the last day of shooting. The Vortex Diamondback tactical scope worked flawlessly for that. After a few misses, I could hold the reticle over to 2 right side windage and 1 up elevation, and hit them every time. It was 200 + meter shooting. I use a .223 loaded with 24.2 grs. of accurate 2460 , FC. cases , Fed. match primers , Hornady 55 gr. V Max and Sierra HPBT bullets. The V Max had a slight edge over the Sierras, on accuracy. But when I hit them with the Sierra hollow point, they really exploded. April 26th. the 2nd week of turkey season. I shot a nice tom . 24 lbs. with a 10 inch beard, and 1 1/8 inch spurs. Some of my hunting buddies did also shoot some big birds. Central Wis. has come along ways in turkey hunting. As its just as good as our deer hunting.

Awesome!

Quick question: what's the overall height of the super trickler sitting on top of the A&D with the hopper on top?
I looked it up in the 83 page manual and it's 13.2 inches. But, to empty it, you have to pick it up to get to the drain. Do you have a tight spot to put one.
