Woo Hoo All SEC Championship

Fromm is cool and calm for a freshman but after Alabamas defense pile drives, spears, stone cold stuns, and skull drags him he will be shell shocked and UGA will have to put it all on Chubb and Michel. Against any other defense, that would probably be Ok but Bama can stop the run also.

Here is Fromm about mid 2nd qtr.

whats funny is the CFP was made because of the 2011 lsu/bama (all sec) national championship game, and here we are :rotf: :rotf:

Another tidbit worth pointing out is that Auburn is going to have to watch its 2 biggest rivals, who they beat, play for the National Championship. ...that's gotta suck.

Well, Paul Finebaum might be walking on cloud nine today, but his employer's parent company isn't.

As I've said before, next season is the fifth of the five year CFP agreement. Let me get this out of the way first, Bama and UGA are both most deserving and also the top two teams in college football this year. I like taking an extreme stance from time to time, mostly because it's fun and I'm probably the only non-SEC fan left around here. Heck, maybe it wasn't Bama who shouldn't have gotten in, but Clemson. :rotf: Last night showed the Committee got it wrong ranking William's team #1. :smash: Still, Ohio State can't let an Iowa lay 55 on them, but had Iowa won 20-17 would it have been different? Probably not.

In any event, with two SEC teams playing for the championship and the Big Ten's bowl performance, and to a lesser extent an undefeated UCF beating Auburn who beat both Bama and UGA, next year is probably the last for the four team format. Add onto that the inconsistency of the Committee's decisions (2014 it was a "13th data point"; 2015 it was strength of schedule; 2016 the 13th data point doesn't matter if you've got quality wins on your side; 2017 the "eye test" matters not data). A four team playoff is probably better than an eight team playoff, but the current "playoff" really isn't a playoff. It's an invitational. An eight team playoff could end up being better in reality. Because the four team format requires a committee of humans to select participants (as opposed to using a rules-based system that generates auto-qualifiers and limits the human element to at-large participants and seeding), the corrosive tendencies of the human factor are always at risk at smothering out the good structural aspects of a four team format. At a certain point, the eight team format becomes less imperfect than the four team format. An eight team format also better accommodates two teams from the same conference.

Kinda sucks, I don't know for sure what day it is on but I figure it will be a Monday or Tuesday and won't be over till way past my bedtime.

Didn't get to see them play chumpson and I hate to miss an all SEC championship game but I know I will.

Guess I can record it and TRY to not hear who won till I get home the next day.

it is more likely you will see bigfoot Tuesday morning than making it till first break at work without somebody telling you who won,,

I agree that the selection process is the flaw in the current system. I always thought that the BCS system could be used to select the top 4 teams, not a selection committee.

Auburn let UCF beat them so they aint got any right to complain about anything,,,UCF on the other hand might have a gripe,,
