2024 Kill Thread

3 arrows, 3 deer. Today the old Mathews brought home a few more from East Tennessee public land, all shot out of the same tree at the end of a 1.15 mile hike from the truck.

(No, that instant lights-out shot was not intentional. She ducked and spun right into the arrow and dropped like a stone.)

I've finally got the deer and my treestand all back out of the woods, and I am BEAT. But I still love hunting the end of the rut!

Man you whacked and stacked...congratulations brother .

Killed this Buck on November 18th with my CVA Accura .45 LR-X @130 yards. Dropped him in his tracks. We have had him on camera off and on since 2019. We had named him "split ear", due to him having a large slit in his left ear. Two years ago he was a heavy horned 10pt, but he never showed up except at night. Last year he was pretty much like you see here, but had broken off a tine, so we passed him hoping he would make it until this year. He rough scores just a tad over 121". My biggest TN buck to date.
