Have some work to do with animals, so got down a little after 9. All I saw was the doe early on. I did hear two different sets of two shots that were way faster than I could ever reload. Talking the time to cycle a bolt between shots. One was fairly close.

While I was walking back, one of my cell cams sent me a pick of a little buck.

Ended up seeing 9 does and a smaller buck. Killed a coyote. My dad was hunting on the same farm and killed 2 does and a coyote right after he shot the does.

Saw 1 small buck this morning. Could see horns barely through the fog. Super slow! I was covered up with turkeys though. That's a wrap for me. Going home to pack and head to illinois for 12 days. Good luck guys and gals!

Hunting near a clear cut on the guy that adjoins my property. Seen a small buck here last year maybe he's grown up enough ...a doe will do for this guy that lets me hunt .

Came back home to hunt behind the house this afternoon and tomorrow morning. Have seen my 2nd and 3rd biggest on Saturday and Sunday here. Hoping to see #1 this afternoon.

Ground hunting in the Korean honeysuckle thicket tonite.

Pretty uneventful evening until 4:58. Had a group of 8 come out in front of me then 2 does and a buck came from behind me. The buck wandered off but the does stayed in the plot. I was able to climb down and sneak out of there undetected.

Nothing so far. Ran one off going in. Don't know what it was, and a coyote was under the hill for awhile, barking and howling.

Supposed to get another near inch of rain here today. Hoping things here pick up. Activity has been surprisingly slow. Pretty morning though.

Been a little rain already, and wind is picking up. Little 3 pointer made a weird loop around the plot,

Picking up a little more. This little guy and a doe messed me up from getting a good sunrise pic. Right under me grunting. Saw 3 other bucks. All checking or chasing. Didn't want to get down and come to work. Unfortunately, had to. Excited about the weekend.

Ruined my morning with a miss. Seen a small buck before 6 then at 615 I seen 2 deer in a water way on my neighbor's side. It was a nice buck I seen on Saturday locked down with a doe. Then I caught movement out of my side window and the big deer I been after had stepped out between my blind and my house. He was fixing to head towards the other buck and doe and I guess I just rushed the shot. Besides my food plot and 2 shooting lanes all my field is tall, thick grass. He barreled off in that and I swore I seen him fall with the way the grass stopped moving. Got down and looked but couldn't find him or blood. Looked for blood a little while more and decided to go get the tractor. I rode through the tall grass and feel like I covered every inch of it. Looked in my woods some thinking maybe he went in at the top part of my field where I couldn't see. Nothing. Rode all the waterways in my neighbor's field thinking maybe he went that direction. Nothing. Could've swore he looked hit but he was already limping I had noticed so maybe it was the way he was running with the limp. He was high 130's-low 140's.
