I've seen a huge increase in deer in my somewhat rural neighborhood, yesterday when getting in my truck for work at 430 am there were several in my yard…….a few days ago coming home at dusk I saw at least nine standing in the road at my turnoff to my street

The big problem is 3 or 4 of them wouldn't get out of the road, they just stooped there looking at me…..they all looked like yearlings to me

Big question is when do the cities determine this is a problem, I've seen 8 or 10 of them stampede and run wide open through several yards……I'm starting to worry about little old ladies working in their flower gardens around dusk

No big bucks seen guys
Seek one just left the chat. LOL.

In all seriousness, it seems that deer have adapted to farms being turned into subdivisions unlike some other animals. You see them everywhere now. I'm sure that there is or will be a good buck around at some point. Just hope they get out of the street and no one runs over them.

We have the Tennessee river for a water source and one decent size holdout farm nearby, they seem to travel this route for a water source and there is a lot of then……biggest I've seen is an 8 pointer

Very discreetly.
In all seriousness...

1) Are you actually within "city limits"?

2) If you are within city limits, What exactly are the city's rules, regs and ordinances? You might be surprised to learn that you can hunt within city limits following the "city's rules". You can hunt waterfowl on the TN river within Knoxville city limits--if you play by the rules.

3) You said something about the TN river nearby--is there any TVA public land along the river? If the water is down, you can hunt the exposed lake bottom.

Just brainstorming...

You are in Soddy Daisy so unless you're blasting away right up next to a house in the neighborhood then you should be fine. Call the police department and let them know what you're doing and I say they will be just fine with it. Can I take a gander that your location is "north Soddy".
