I am a Duke fan and I believe KY had the best team this year but you have to live and play by the one and done in the tourney. I would have love to see the KY vs Duke match-up to see how it would have gone. Roost, good for you to stick to your guns but you know for a fact that Coach K is the best coach in basketball now, and possibly ever. He would have out coached KY and played a smart game. It would have been a good game regardless of the outcome. But as I said live and play by the one and done, and at the end of the day Duke cut the net. GO DUKE!

How many freshman did your boys have? How many of them wont be back? Duke is just as bad as us as far as that goes...Matter of fact I think we had more upperclassman playing than Duke......But hey I guess Coach K picking Plumlee for his team last summer paid off because he sure wasn't deserving of being on the team. Yet, Coach K is great....He operates in the gray just like all the rest. He's no better than anyone else. And yall you Coach Cal haters, whoever you are, are pathetic as well. Not many guys out there can get guys to sacrifice minutes and stats for the good of the team...

By one and done I mean losing a game in a tournament. All you have to do is get in and then don't lose. No matter how good your team is or bad. If you go in a lose you are done. (Duke being a prime example the past 3 years) I disagree with the fact that freshman get to come in a leave after a season. I hate that. As for saying Coach K is no better than the rest... Come on now... 1000+ wins and has been coaching for 40 seasons. I gave your team the credit they deserved. I said I thought they were the best team coming into the tournament. But when they went to the ball room they got out danced. It only takes the one. You can't bash Coach K and Duke now because we ARE the national champions. We ARE the best team. We will get 4 more new freshman next year and try to do it again. Long Live Coach K. Long Live the Champs. Long Live DUKE!!!!

It funny someone mentioned bama football vs. Kentucky basketball bandwagon fans.

Well the more and more Bama's football team wins the more bandwagon fans they get and the more you hear ROll TIDE!!

Seems like Kentucky's basketball team can go 38-0 gain NO or very little bandwagon fans and more and more people hate them lol wonder why that is?

You said it, the man has coached for 40 yrs....he should have a 1000 wins!!! BIg deal!!!! Honestly he should have more championships....I will give them credit they usually do play good defense unlike most other ACC teams.....Anyone knows to win any championship you got to have a few lucky breaks and Duke got their share this year...I will stick to my guns....they are the Champs but they did not play the best team to win it.

1,000 wins in 40 years is an average of 25 wins a year which is quite immpressive. Don't think you can say he should have that many as how many more are out there averging that many over an extended period of time? that's a lot to replace and gonna be hard for True freshman to come in and play as well as two year players like The harrison twins and others .

like i said before i will take the team in the NCAA tournament full of JRs and seniors over the team playing 3 or 4 true freshman.

It's nothing but hired basketball mercenaries from states other than Kentucky. Half of the starters aren't even on campus long enough to be subject to academic standards. These soon-to-be NBA players are about as Kentucky as I am a Tennessean.

Thank goodness they didn't win the national title, and too bad there aren't any other SEC teams worth a darn to give Calimari and his basketball mercenaries a challenge. :moon:

While you, and most everyone else, is bashing UK BB for putting the best player they can get on the court, WHILE DOING IT LEGALLY, why not kick the Duke program as well. They started 3 freshmen who will be declaring their intentions to jump to the NBA within the next few days. Oh no, that won't satisfy your joy of attacking the best BB program in the country. Coach Cal has a duty to the school and fans to recruit BB players with the skills and character needed to represent UK at the highest level possible. The same duty as coaches all across the globe. Coach Cal does it with unbelievable success. Once the kids gets on campus, Cal point of emphasis sifts to making the player get better athletically so they can pursue their dream and be successful at the next level, AND he prepares them mentally as well. Bash on all you want, and we'll see you at the Dance next March. GO CATS!!!

BTW, he might want to work on recruiting an "in-game" coach!

There is A lot of experts that don't think coach CAL is all that.

give him a normal rostar filled with 3* and 4* guys And Maybe 1 or two star players and he would be nothing.

Give any good coach 9 yes 9!! Mcdonalds All americans and they would be a very very good team.

They talked about this on ESPN a week ago and all the basketball experts agreed on this.

There are also a lot of experts who agrees that only a few coaches could get this many McDonald's All-American sacrificing for the team.
