or should i say june flies, for the next evening or two should be some good multispecies action. dock lights around the marinas are usually a good place or if you see some bank beaters with coleman lanterns over the water.

I've seen hatches on Watts Bar so thick that you had to look at your sandwich before taking a bite, or you'd get some extra protein in the form of raw mayflies. LOL

I always knew them as Willow Flies.

When I was growing up in NW Al . we always looked forward to a big batch .

My Dad would get a call from the Guy who ran a boat ramp and a minnow sales along the creek we fished letting us know they were hatching.

Sometimes it would be the next day before we got to go but you could always catch a sack full on a fly rod.

They usually didn't hatch down there until around the 4th of July.

So somewhere between Ky Lake and Pickwick Lake the name changes apparently .

So who's Guilty ? LOL

A buddy left a light on in the Jon boat one night while we were setting lines on the Duck during a mayfly hatch. When I noticed an hour or 2 later, they 4" deep in spots in the boat. I shoveled them out as best I could. These were large, cream colored ones best I remember.
