I do a request, it's all public records if you know where to look.

Max points for the early season and late season is 3. I believe max points for mid season is around 7.

Ever done a Tier 2 there? Always figured the Tier 2s at Reelfoot were a waste of time. You need 100s of decoys to compete and seems like a lot of work for 2-3 days.

Haven't done one at Reelfoot, but we threw around 300 for blind 106 at Camden. Killed 4 birds in 3 days one trip, and 11 in 3 days the other. It's a lot of work for not much reward if you are wanting ducks to take home.

Suppose it beats not having anywhere to hunt at all!

It's. a lot of work for sure. Had blind 35 last year during the freeze for 4 days. Midnight boat runs to keep the trail open, 2 ice eaters going 300 decoys plus spinners and splashers. 8 of us rented a house for 4 days. Had a great time. Oh yeah and killed 91 ducks. Mallards and gadwalls.

Seems like that's pretty much the norm at Camden now besides opening day.

I just went and checked and realized I missed the window for the mid season draw period. Had 4 points and I figure I'll lose them now so that's a real pisser

Nope. I missed the mid-season point too, but no biggie.

So in KY is totally different. The only waterfowl quota we have up here that's really worth anything is for the Ballard WMA. There's one other spot that can have its days but it's a separate quota itself.
It takes several years of points to be able to pick the dates you want and get drawn. You can select a random "choose any date" option & sometimes get it with 2 points. But anyway one year a friend put us in for a quota pheasant hunt (released birds obviously). We didn't end up going on the hunt, but we were supposed to fill out a post hunt survey. None of us caught that part so the following year all 3 of us lost all our built up preference points for everything. 2 different waterfowl spots & deer points, something like a dozen points between the 3 of us… that one stung a little bit.
