Weatherproof yardage tape?

I always go back and forth on sights but this year I used a solo pin slider from Apex. I put scotch tape over yardage tape is there a better way? Still not sure what sight I'll use this year but smearing or losing yardage tape is my main concern with slider sight.

When I used a slider I used Medical tape and made my marked scale on it...I got away from a slider and went back to fixed pins....

You can buy waterproof map paper and print the site tapes on it. I print on regular paper then cover the tape with scotch tape. I have also smeared bow wax over the paper before. Either method works pretty well.

I have used yardage tapes without any protective covering in all types of weather while hunting without any issues at all .
