Weirdest thing you ever found in the woods.

I was in South Cherokee walking around scouting and found an old graveyard. It was spooky.
Ive found several of those, long forgotten to time, as it should be! If, after Im gone, and nobody keeps up the gravesites, Im fine with that. Its not spooky to me, just keeps things in perspective. Doing what I do for a living, I find lots of things most people never dream about.
The saddest one concerning graves is I found a NICE granite headstone in the middle of nowhere, and one spouses name, date of birth and date of death was on it, I think mid 1940s? the other spouses name and birthdate was on it but no date of death. That was sad to me that the 1st one is still laying there waiting on what they THOUGHT was their life partner to join them. I know now that upon death, whos beside you doesnt matter because we are eternally in one place or the other and what happened here in this life is of little to no concern, but this life is all we know, even though it is but a vapor that vanishes shortly.

For some reason the sex toy stuff is common to find out and about. I was fishing up Sewee Creek at the north end of Chickamauga and there was a vibrator/egg thingy with wire hanging from the branches of a tree branch over the water. I found a big black one on a gravel bar while walking a creek for arrowheads...I left it right where it was. Found a bright neon green vibrator in the woods while metal detecting. I'm assuming it came from one of the houses destroyed from the previously mentioned tornado because there was other home items thrown randomly in the same woods.

Did they get out of there lickity split?

A friend and I were turkey hunting some bottoms near Big Hill pond and walked up on a GE afterburner that apparently had fallen off a jet. We couldn't think of any other way it could have gotten where it was. Of course, this was before camera phones and neither of us had a camera with us.

Mine pales in comparison with some of these but a few years ago I had climbed up in my stand well before daylight and got settled in and started looking around and I saw an orange light about 200-300 yards down in the pines. I thought someone had set up and had a flashlight on. I was not happy about it but I noticed after about half an hour it never moved. I got my binos out and tried to figure it out. Bright glowing orange spot about three foot from the bottom of a pine. I took this picture of it and should've got down and went to the tree but I sat in my stand til I was finished with my sit. Never did find the tree after daylight but snapped this picture. My only guess was that a piece of meteor had hit this tree and lodged in it.

In the early 70's there was a huge tornado outbreak from Ohio through the south. The day after the storms I was in a field behind our house. At that time there was nothing out of the ordinary in the field. Two days later I back there again and there was a sheet of plywood standing in the field. One corner was stuck in the ground.

Didn't happen to me, but did to someone I know.

Back in south Georgia guy was floating the river fishing. Came across a styrofoam cooler. Opened it to see if anything was in it. Turns out it was full of pot. He closed the lid and went on his way fishing.

About a week later he comes home from work and there is a brand new Minn Kota trolling motor on his front porch. There was a note on the box. The note said, "Thank you for minding your own business."

Said the hair on the back of his neck stood up.

This one gets my vote.

And gives me the chills.

There have been some really fascinating studies done on how far powerful tornadoes and their parent supercell thunderstorms transport items. The research even broke down the items by weight and aerodynamic properties. Let's just say a strong tornado will carry refrigerator-sized items a LONG WAY! Miles. Paper, pictures, cancelled checks, will travel hundreds of miles.

After both of the recent Jackson TN tornadoes (90 miles from my place) I found all sorts of items in the woods I could track back to Jackson. After a big tornado between Centerville and Hohenwald, we found music CDs, LPs and a very nice Eddie Baur rain jacket in our yard in Pegram. My daughter still wears the jacket.

When tornadoes hit Camp Creek in Greene County, there were items from Chattanooga found there.

Reminds me of 2 lesbians trying to take seductive pics at Tim's Ford marina boat ramp 2 years ago. We pulled in to leave and they were taking them so no problem. I go get the truck and trailer and start backing down. They continued to stand in the middle of the ramp when my wife hollered to them from the boat that they might want to move because I wouldn't stop. They grabbed their stuff and moved then gave me the stink eye look. I already wanted to vomit because both were pretty butchy and the pics they were attempting was more than I could handle. 🤮😆
So your saying if your wife wasn't there would have become a photographer 🤔 😂
