Weirdest thing you ever found in the woods.

Me and 2 friends were back at the ramp after squirrel dogging the islands at priest, it was twilight and this chubby black chick in real skimpy half on lingerie comes outta the woods with a guy with a camera following, it was about 30 degrees. They jump in a car and take off, we loaded the boat and went home....just another day.

In the early 90's we were elk hunting in Colorado.. we packed in and set up camp.. never saw a single sign that anyone had ever been in the area.. no cans, bottles, no cigarette butts.. no tracks .. nothing.. the closest pay phone was 75 miles away.. one day I was walking through a growth of pine or spruce.. not sure which one.. and I spotted something shiny.. went over to it.. it was a chrome 25' true value tape measure … how or why it was there out in the middle of absolutely nowhere still amazes me!
Forester cruising timber

I just remembered something else I found.
The TVA land I hunt used to belong to my great grandfather...prior to TVA taking it.
There is a civil war battlefield very nearby. Back in the day, there was a railroad that ran through there...under the lake now.
Years ago, I stumbled across a pile of railroad "artifacts". Mostly some signage and some kind of steel balls..about 6-8" in diameter. Thinking they were some kind of lanterns... Looked like maybe at one time had a wick in them..and they were hollow. I looked through the stuff but left it there.
Might need to go see if I can re-find it.
They sound like the old road construction marker lights used back before battery powered lights were practical. They were just a cannon ball looking gizmo with a wick that burned kerosene. The blinking yellow lights powered by a 6 volt battery took their place back in the late 60s or early 70s.

Most of the ones I remember seeing had a little shroud over the wick about the size of a golf ball…. Slots let the flame show thru.

Reminds me of 2 lesbians trying to take seductive pics at Tim's Ford marina boat ramp 2 years ago. We pulled in to leave and they were taking them so no problem. I go get the truck and trailer and start backing down. They continued to stand in the middle of the ramp when my wife hollered to them from the boat that they might want to move because I wouldn't stop. They grabbed their stuff and moved then gave me the stink eye look. I already wanted to vomit because both were pretty butchy and the pics they were attempting was more than I could handle. 🤮😆

Helps to keep the skeeters away around camp too…👍
But not as good as a Thermacell..😎

The strangest thing I remember seeing in the woods was a big horn sheep… in NW Alabama.

He was wearing a cowbell leading a line of 10 -12 goats thru the woods .🤷‍♂️

I did take a picture of him as (they) passed under the tree I was hunting from.
However this was back before digital photos and as luck would have it the pics were at the end of the film roll and didn't develop..

I found two abandoned tree stands, 2 compound bows and a fanny pack once in Wayne County, all cover in leaves.
Apparently left from the previous hunting season as this was early in bow season..

I'm jealous…. I've always wanted one or two of those things, but by the time I realized I wanted 'em, they were antiques and no longer to be found.
