270WSM with 140 Accubond and a custom 25WSM with 110 Accubond. What WSMs do you use MagPro in?
My wallet wishes I had never seen the phrase "25WSM"270WSM with 140 Accubond and a custom 25WSM with 110 Accubond.
Works ok in the 7WSM with 140AB, but I didn't ever get great groups with the 150AB or 160AB. Ended up with IMR 7828 for the 150AB and RL25 for the 160AB.
LOL, It's fun!!My wallet wishes I had never seen the phrase "25WSM"
That'll doStarted getting my muzzleloader things together. Found out I had 275gr and 250gr bullets mixed together. Got them separated out and vials loaded. I'll confirm zero tomorrow.
So now I've got to know: twist rate? Barrel length? Speed? Bullets? Powder?LOL, It's fun!!
Now for ol mossyhorns to walk by.That'll do View attachment 243328
It's built on a Howa 1500 action with a 26" fluted Hart barrel (~#4 Krieger profile I think). 10" twist. I tried several bullets when I first built this ~15 years ago and settled on the 110 Accubond with Magpro powder and Winchester brass. MV is ~3520 fps. I used 270WSM brass and trim the necks down a little then run thru a redding bushing die straight down to 25 Caliber. Then just skim the necks again for a "cleanup". Pretty easy! These days, a 8.5" twist with some heavier bullets would be interesting but I just use this for deer hunting. I also have a 6mm-284 that is a lot of fun, but that's a different story. So now I've got to know: twist rate? Barrel length? Speed? Bullets? Powder?
Also, straight neck down? Or more custom than that?
I had been sort of looking at 6WSMs, but that feels a little click-ish right now
Sorted out 188 68 gr Hillbilly BT bullets from 67.980-68.020 and loaded 188 rounds 6 mm PPC with LT32 @ 27.900 grs ,,
