Ebike

Buddy swears by the Bakcou. He has a quietkat also. I am looking at the Ego one that came out because I can use the same battery as my mower and blower.

I'll be catchin' deers like a steer wrestler on that thing. Multipurpose use; ride with the kids, catchin' deers, hauling the mail, flying through the air like a bird, I can keep going.....Seems to have lots of logic and benefit. šŸ˜‚
Well like ya, like ya, like ya dude šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

There's several good brands out there. But I will say this. I got my first one at 53 and I'm 61 now. If it quit today I'd be buying another one tomorrow. To me it's the next best thing I've ever bought for hunting besides a weapon. Several of my buddies bought one after I did and they all love them. Some are on their 2nd one like me for an upgrade only. Everyone of our original bikes are still running. My original one is still running fine with the original 8yr old battery! I'm sold on e-bikes myself.

With all that ebike experience, how about telling us that are looking what kind you have used, which to stay away from. I've watched many YouTube videos but would rather hear from someone on tndeer. Only interested in the ones used for hunting and camping.

Are they allowed on public land in TN? I sure hope not. The effort put forth to go far into public land should be rewarded with some solitude, not people buzzing around on e-bikes.

It was just legalized here. SCDNR stated in the regs that an e-bike is not considered a motorized vehicle.

Um.. do you know what that spinning thing is called that is powered by the battery and sure looks a lot like a motor? I'll give them a hint. It starts with an "m" and rhymes with "rotor"

Then again, it's SCDNR, they couldn't be more stupid in everything they do if Joe Biden was in charge of it.
Glad to hear that you're still able to go the distance. There are those of us that are aging and don't get around like we used to. So we enjoy the use of bikes. One day, you too will be there. So remember this.

The ones I've had dealings with of my own are M2S bikes and Rambo Krusader 3.0 bike. M2S's are more affordable and has been a very good bike. I've actually had 2 of them. A 26" Kush and a 24" Step Thru. Both have been very good bikes with a 750 watt drive on them. Only reason I went with a Rambo was buddies of mine got them and I liked the features. The Rambo I got has the All Wheel Drive. It has 500 watt drive hubs on front and back. I wanted something I knew could pull a cart with a deer on it. I've yet to put a deer on the cart but I did load it with 280lbs of pelletized lime and it pulled it fine. I have 91 miles on it and really like it. Battery range seems to be fine. The M2S bike will pull a deer cart loaded as well. I've seen others do it with theirs. Both are very good bikes.
Now I didn't have a Quiet Cat but 3 of my friends did and they had a lot of issues. They went with Rambo's and love them. They have the Krusader 2.0 and the Megatron. That's who got me on them. The Rambos are the stoutest I've seen myself.
That's the only brands I can comment on but there are several brands out there making bikes that can be used for hunting. Some have come down in price with the competition out there and some haven't. Rambo unfortunately doesn't seem to of.

E-bike's are awesome! I borrowed a buddies last year when i went to Iowa, 1.2 miles in and the same back out. Out was all uphill. It was a single motor and did fine (6'3" 210lbs dressed for sub freezing weather). If steep terrain you may look at the dual motor. My brother just bought one but hasn't used it yet, it's a dual motor from Birch e-bikes.

That's fair, and I did intend to add that I was fine with it for those over 65 or with a physical limitation of sorts, but forgot to put it in there. Sort of like how some states handle allowing crossbows during archery seasons.

What absolutely no state needs is crowds of physically capable 30 yr olds whizzing around public land on e-bikes to reach spots they're otherwise too lazy to walk to. All of it is getting increasingly crowded as hunter numbers increase while hunting access decreases. Some stretches of what is still available need to remain a bit more difficult to access.

I despise e bikes. I have no advantage now. I use to out walk everybody to secluded spots. Not anymore.
You know if real hunters from the 18th & 19th centuries could see us now, they'd roll over laughing!! I wonder if they sayt in tree stands waiting for a deer to come by šŸ¤£. Nope, they did what we do out west in the mountains, "Spot & Stalk"! This younger generation just to lazy to do anything that requires a little hard work and exercise. Not all though.
