You know you have single handedly doubled the pressure on that place but still cant hold your tongue. Now this week you got 4 or 5 cameras running around there.
I guess I'm going to have to start driving further and hunting out of a boat like you have resorted to the last couple years. Whether you know it or not, you have already started to let that cat out of the bag too. SMH
:rotf: I was wondering who was going to be the first to say it, and when it would come about.
Ding ding ding we have a winner!!! Catman and Catman Outdoors are known on several hunting forums and Youtube for scouting for others, and doing a good job at it too, as well as pissing off a lot of public land hunters who know how to keep their mouths shut and enjoy the hunting that they have, while they have the opportunity. I've got friends who are not members here, but lurk here, who read Catman's, and others posts, and can tell you just about every WMA they are referring to, both in state, and out of state. It is amazing how hunters can study the details of posts/photos/videos/comments/replies/etc, and narrow down hunting areas to 1-2 WMAs. If you had been hunting 30+ years, things like this would be obvious to you. Keep on and keeping on, but hopefully you'll eventually slow down and smell the roses, and be grateful for the opportunities you are afforded. My .02

I really appreciate your insane persistence and your videos. I'm not trying to get on you but if you really enjoy doing something somewhere in particular you've got to learn to try and keep it to yourself. I've learned the hard way over the years.
A lot of others sure have not.
You guys are funny. His YouTube video doesn't make people go to a WMA. He could invite people whether they filmed or not, its public land. He never says where he is, BUT anyone with half a brain can look at kill #'s for the state, see which county tops the list yearly, and then see that there is tons of public land in and around that county.... OF COURSE they will show up there. I live 40-50 minutes away. I have always opted to stay on a closer WMA (don't want to give away my trade secrets so i won't name it, lest someone show up and hunt
), but now that habitat change and other things have lowered the turkey #'s I am definitely making a trip down at some point this season. Heck one of my private places I have to drive past the unnamed mythical WMA to get to, so it is a closer drive. I could sleep in 20 extra minutes
.
This site used to be about helping people be successful, but now that the birds are in decline, lets protect OUR birds so no one can come and get them. People are coming whether you like it or not and they are not coming because of a YouTube video. If I kill a turkey on a WMA and someone asks where I killed it, I will tell them WMA X. I won't put a pin in a map, but I will tell them the WMA. Most are 10K acres plus, so good luck out there. That is what this site is for. Info sharing.
Yes there is something wrong with the turkey population, but getting upset because someone doesn't agree with you or trying to hide pockets of birds due to selfishness, is lame AF. Most of us know something needs to be done, but the state has to do that. If your mad at someone point your anger there. Not that it will do any good, but at least you'll be mad at the right folks.
Oh and I too will drive further to said WMA and other WMAs and hunt out of my boat if that is what it takes to be successful and if I'm not, well I put my best foot forward.
