Let's get back to what this is all about! Let me give you some good news 16,958 is now what the harvest report reads ! That's some good numbers and I do believe well ahead of last year. I hope this continues although the weekend looks to be stormy and raining here.

I suppose I'm insane for trying to give some advice, or educate as you say. They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Lord knows I didn't have a revelation for the same thing has been told in public and private for 8 years by countless people.

How often do I have to hear "there are 3 trucks parked everywhere I was going to go", "where I wanted to go has been hunted to death", "all the birds have been pushed off on private ground (by the first 10 days of season)" but at the same time "this is a great year for birds around here", "there are plenty of turkeys where I hunt". Thank goodness the talk of killing the piss out of hens in the fall has stopped.

I've yet to see a topic on TnD fly over my head, much less a comment, don't fool yourself into thinking you're the first. It's not personal to me. I do not live anywhere near said WMA, nor have I ever stepped foot on it, because I see no need to, especially these days. With that said, there are numerous local resident public land hunters who see things way different than I do, and they would like to preserve what little enjoyment they have left. As I've mentioned before, this "advice" has been offered up at least twice since 2011, yet a select few can't seem to get it. As levee jumped eluded to above, you'd think public land etiquette would be common knowledge/common sense, but this thread disproves that theory without a doubt.

For the record, I've always supported Cat's videos and self taught hunting methods (very admirable), but if he, or others, do things to jeopardize fellow TN residents, such as himself, don't think myself and others won't point it out. As levee jumper eluded to, we've made these same asinine mistakes in our younger years. Take the advice, and learn from it, even if it ruffles feathers along the way. Fact is, we don't live long enough to make all the mistakes, why not learn from others?

Well send a message to him instead of publicly making him some scapegoat for the fall of this mighty WMA. He didn't need
7 of y'all curb stomping the point into him haha your method of delivery would piss most people off to where the point is completely lost. I wouldn't be fault him for taking a picture in front of the main entrance of this WMA with a dead turkey the way y'all acted.

Make sure to leave words out on purpose, as I did not include myself in that statement on purpose. I was referring to numerous others on three well represented hunting forums, not myself, as my post reads. Reading comprehension goes a long way in this day and time, and is encouraged before commenting. LOL

Thanks for the update. We were around 15k at this point last year, with the first 10 days of season being terrible weather for many in middle and east TN (cold, wet and windy).
