All I can say is THANK YOU LORD for sending it today and hopefully tomorrow. We are bone dry here and I'm thankful for this slow steady shower .

One of our farms got it. It's actually not in bad shape. About 40 minutes away from my house and farms around my house. We missed it. We have missed all the rain here. Around 2/10ths in 4 or 5 weeks now. 2nd cut of hay is already gone. Most Corn and our sunflowers are on their absolute last leg.
We've had over 3 inches in the area I hunt just need the beans to come on up now I did late planting just for the green attraction and waiting to plant everything else into late August next week is gonnn be wet as well
I think my 5-6 acres of corn I planted July 2 is toast. Not sure this rain can even save it. Oh well, it happens. Improvise, persevere , overcome.
What would be good to plant this week with the rain coming??? Seems early for brassicas
IMO now isn't really a good time. Kinda of dead period. Middle to end of August if rain is forecasted .
Yea that's why I was holding out from planting but I have nothing planted after tilling the field around my shooting box so it's just a bare dirt field
Maybe cheap beans or peas if you have a big enough area. They will wipe them out as soon as the come up. Can't hurt but I'd keep low expectations.
Throw out some buckwheat for something short term.

Not a drop - yet - at my place.
I've done well with brassicas planted late July but I'm up on the plateau at higher elevation than most except for the far East TN guys.
