I like to plant wheat and rye in mid to late September. But have been burned the last 2 years by sept and october drought. Gonna try to plant earlier this yr if i can get the right forecast

Forecast through Sunday below. 0.25" just isn't going to cut it.

I'm in the 1.5 to 2" area thankfully, if it comes. I still won't plant anything but brassicas for awhile though.

It's getting really bad. Soybeans are almost completely annihilated and now they are hitting the corn. It should be gone by the season opener. At this point I'm just hoping we have enough to combat EHD and have several viable acorns this fall

I planted corn right before July 4th. Total expensive bust.

I'm still praying for a good bow-echo squall-line to come through early Friday morning. A possibility Saturday morning as well, but that one looks more likely for the southern sections of western TN.

Rained some this morning according to my wife, I didn't see any puddles though. Nice soaker just rolled in here with a lot of thunder, good steady rain. My pastures and soybean plot sure needed it.

Bring it on to northern middle tn. I work in Nashville and haven't seen a drop yet today. I did just go wash my truck though.

Nothing today on the farm south of Nashville. Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning. Otherwise, nothing else appears to be on the horizon for the next week. It's beyond dry.
